The ICPM welcome reception will be held at the Black Diamond (Den Sorte Diamant), the Royal Danish Library. Completed in 1999, this striking modern building is named for its black granite and glass façade, which reflects the water of the adjacent harbor. Designed by the Danish architectural firm Schmidt Hammer Lassen, the Black Diamond serves as a cultural center, housing a vast collection of books, exhibition spaces, a concert hall, and other public amenities.
