Ramírez Fishing Club (Club de Pesca Ramírez) – Rambla Presidente Wilson 426, 11200.

The Ramirez Fishing Club was founded on 1933 over the River Plate coast, near the neighbourhoods of Parque Rodó, Punta Carretas and Palermo. With other seven Fishing Clubs of the area it constitues the nautical hub of the zone, organizing several nautical activities.

The brindis will begin with a wonderful sunset over the river towards Montevideo Old city to the west, at 19:04 hs., we will meet at the Annex Building at 18:30 hs. to walk there by the coast.

  • Walking Tour “Ciudad Vieja” (Old City) – Tuesday October 21 – 18 hs.

Departure from Plaza Independencia – Duration: 60-90 minutes – Max 100 people

Join a guided walk from Plaza Independencia to the charming Plaza Matríz. Along the way, you’ll see landmarks like the Palacio Salvo, Teatro Solís, the Artigas Mausoleum, the City Gate, Sarandí Pedestrian Street, the Cabildo, and the Metropolitan Cathedral. A fun way to dive into the city’s history, culture, and architecture!

Plaza Independencia is around 10 minutes by car to the west of the Annex building, buses departure at 17:30 hs. from the Annex Building parking lot.

  • Craft beers and pizzas informal get-together – Tuesday October 21 – 19:30 hs.

Sumo Brew Pub is a brewpub in Montevideo, known for its wide selection of locally brewed craft beers, pub-style food like pizzas, and a lively, fun atmosphere with games such as pool and ping pong. It offers a combination of rustic and modern decor, serving as a popular spot for locals and tourists to enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment.

Isla de Flores is the street where the Llamadas takes place during two days in February within the uruguayan carnival. The Llamadas are the candombe parades that celebrate the Afro-Uruguayan roots of the country’s culture, with a characteristic drum rhythm.

After the walking tour, buses departure from Plaza Independencia at around 19:30 hs. to Sumo Brew Pub (we will provide some free tickets).

  • Social dinner – Wednesday October 22 – 18:45 hs.

“Spinoglio” Wine Cellar – Av. Pedro de Mendoza 8238, 12400.

“Spinoglio” wine cellar is located in the southern region of Cuchilla Pereyra in the establishment started by Don José Campomar in 1898, which is considered to be of the highest aptitude for viticulture. Its origins beggin with Luigi Spinoglio in Casale Monferrato (Piedmont, Italy) who arrived in Uruguay at the end of the 19th century.

The dinner will take place in the original 1898 cellar in the basement, surrounded by the original wine barrels, in an atmosphere of harmony with the natural surroundings of the vineyard and the most typical Uruguayan traditions such as “parilla” (barbecue) and wine. Buses departure at 18:00 hs from the Annex Building parking lot.

Restaurant “Rodelú” Parque Rodó – Av. José Requena y García s/n, 11300

Rodelú opened in 1916 thanks to José Patiño Graña, a Spanish businessman who sought to represent Uruguayan popular culture. The pizzeria was a pioneer in the local market, standing out for high-quality pizzas but also with a selection of dishes that represent the rich Uruguayan culture.

The RoRooftop was inaugurated in June 2024 offering a larger and comfortable space with views to the River Plate and the amusement park in Parque Rodó. Lunches will serve such typical uruguayan foods.

Restaurant “Rodelú” is located 4 minutes walking distance around the corner from the Annex Building.

Montevideo Beer Company (MBC) Punta Carretas – Solano García 2576, 11300

MBC is a meeting and entertainment space that combines a wide variety of locally brew craft beers, great music, and a gastronomic menu that includes burguers, pizzas and hand food. MBC is conceived as a place to experience craft beer from morning to night, from breakfast to late-night, offering an environment to meet friends and enjoy beer culture. Dancing from midnight and up is the perfect experience for closing the night and the event.

MBC is located near the Punta Carretas Shopping 18 minutes walking distance from the Annex Building to the east.
